Installing Air Source Heat Pumps to Drive Energy Efficiency

In March 2024, Elect Building and Maintenance was tasked with replacing 18 Vaillant Eco Tec Boilers with Samsung Air Source Heat Pumps across multiple properties. The challenge? Completing the entire project in just six weeks. The project involved removing old boilers, replacing pipework, and installing new radiators—all while minimizing disruption for residents.

Despite the tight deadline, the Elect team moved swiftly, planning each phase carefully to ensure efficiency and quality. Each property was assessed to identify potential challenges, and the team divided into smaller groups to focus on specific aspects of the project. One group handled the removal of the old boilers, while others reconfigured pipework for the new heat pumps. Another group focused on installing the new radiators for maximum comfort and efficiency.

Throughout the process, the team worked closely with the client, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly. By the end of the six-week period, the installation was successfully completed, offering residents a more sustainable and energy-efficient heating solution.

Summary
